3) note how neighbours have turned your unwanted kitchen chairs into charming planter pots
4) find drum kit in alley
5) bring drum kit inside
6) clean kit, replace skins, look for hardware on craigslist
7) play

just like east van: it's low-tech, it's cheap like borscht, what's not to love?
